Dressmaking NC II

Goal:
To educate and produce globally competitive seamstress, pattern makers and self-employed dressmakers with passion for environmental consciousness, sustainability, innovation and gender equality and innovative skilled workforce by the end of 2024.


Objectives:

  • Enhance the knowledge, skills and attitude of Dressmaking NC II trainees to become gender-fair and globally competitive seamstress, pattern makers and self-employed dressmakers;
  • Instill environmental awareness by integrating 21st Century Skills and Green TVET practices and sustainability in the delivery of competency-based training;
  • Promote the value of innovation, support women empowerment; and
  • Produce at least 100 certified and job ready graduates.


Course Description:
This training program consists of competencies that a person must achieve to enable him/her to draft and cut pattern; lay-out pattern on the material/fabric, sew material/fabric and apply finishing touches on the ladies casual apparel of the Garment sector. Casual Apparel consists of casual dress, blouse, skirt, trouser, shorts and culottes.
