TWC conducts Bechmarking Activity at ISHRM – Cavite

On February 11, 2021 TESDA Women's Center (TWC) conducted benchmarking activity at the International School for Hotel and Restaurant Management (ISHRM), Bacoor City, Cavite.


Ms. Mylene H. Somera, Supervising TESD Specialist headed the TWC Team composed of Ms. Gerrelen D. Balbin, Head, Training Management Unit (TMU); Ms. Ritchie U. Briagas, Head, Finance and Administrative Support Services Unit (FASSU); Ms. Kimberly G. Gabriel, TMU Assistant Unit Head of Training Management Unit; Mr. Vicente II D. Ayala, FASSU Assistant Unit Head, and Ms. Maribel M. Dumalagan, Trainer, Barista NC II.


The TWC team was accommodated by Mr. Orlando M. De Villa, Dean of TVET Programs and Senior High School of ISHRM. During the meeting, Mr. De Villa gladly shared the experiences and challenges of ISHRM in the registration of Diploma programs being the first in Region IV-A. Mr. De Villa also emphasized the importance of having a supportive HEI partner/s and the conduct of Industry Consultation in coming up with a well-planned and effective curriculum for Diploma programs. The ISHRM has also an impressive training facilities and competitive training facilitators in hospitality management as observed during the tour.


Early this year, TWC also conducted benchmarking activity at the Jacobo Z. Gonzales School of Arts & Trades in Biñan, Laguna.


The TWC benchmarking activities are aimed to identify best practices and improvements which can be adopted by TWC.


As TWC is aiming to become a Specialized Institute, it also continuously searching for alternative approach to improve the delivery of its programs and services, formulating relevant policies, establishing mechanisms, and capacitating its people.
