06-05-2024

On June 5, 2024, the Timor-Leste Ambassador H.E. Marciano da Silva and a group of young Timorese officers visited the TESDA Women's Center. This visit was part of a Leadership Immersion Program organized by the government of Timor-Leste, aimed at training a group of young Timorese officers.

The delegation, which included the Timor-Leste Ambassador and the young officers, was particularly interested in learning how TESDA contributes to human development, economic growth, and sustainability in the country. They were also interested in understanding how TESDA's work aligns with the goals and priorities of the ASEAN community.

The visit provided an opportunity for the Timorese delegation to observe and learn from TESDA's approach to technical education, skills development, and their role in supporting the Philippines' economic and social progress. This knowledge-sharing experience was part of Timor-Leste's efforts to strengthen its own human capital development strategies, drawing insights from the Philippines' successful TESDA program.
