TESDA - Unitec Inagurates Plumbing Training Laboratory

In a groundbreaking move to address the growing demand for skilled plumbing professionals, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)through the TESDA Women's Center (TWC) has partnered with Unitec Pipe Manufacturing Corp. (UPMC)to inaugurate a state-of-the-art Plumbing Training Laboratory. This collaboration aims to elevate the standards of plumbing education and provide hands-on training opportunities for aspiring plumbers.


The grand launching ceremony took place on December7, 2023 at the TESDA Women's Center, TESDA Complex, Taguig City. The inauguration was led by DDG Aniceto D. Bertz, III, Deputy Director General for TESD Operations representing Sec. Shuharto T. Mangudadatu, Ph.D., TESDA Director General and Mr. Gregory Yap, Managing Director of UPMC. It was attended by key official from TESDA, UPMC, industry leaders, and stakeholders in the field of Plumbing and Construction Industry.


The newly refurbished Plumbing Training Laboratory is equipped with cutting-edge facilities and tools designed to simulate real-world plumbing scenarios.


The hands-on training at the TWC will enable its trainees to develop practical skills and gain valuable experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair. The facility boasts a comprehensive curriculum developed in collaboration with industry experts to ensure that graduates are well-prepared to meet the demands of the ever-evolving plumbing industry.
