The TESDA Women’s Center (TWC) hosted the first orientation on the updated Asia Pacific Accreditation and Certification Commission (APACC) Accreditation Framework and Manual, reaffirming its commitment to excellence and continuous quality improvement in TVET.
The orientation was led by Prof. Naeem Yacoob, Chief APACC Officer, who provided a comprehensive overview of the seven (7) APACC criteria and facilitated simulation exercises designed to strengthen participants’ understanding of the new accreditation framework. He was joined by Faculty Specialist Prof. Rhodora Ulan, APACC Officer Julifer Madeja, and Jovyck Gegantoni of the Professional Internship Program for International Experience.
The activity equipped TWC team members and representatives from Don Bosco Technical Institute with practical insights on the application of the updated APACC Manual. More importantly, it highlighted the role of accreditation in driving institutional transformation and fostering a culture of quality that produces future job generators through business incubation and embraces green TVET, sustainability, inclusivity technopreneurship and digital well-being.
As TVET institutions navigate the demands of a rapidly changing world, the updated Framework serves as a valuable guide in building future-ready, resilient and glocally competitive learning institutions.
