From Waste to Worth: TWC Promotes Creativity and Sustainability Through Upcycling Challenge

04-15-2026

On April 15, 2026, the TESDA Women's Center (TWC) held the “From Waste to Worth: Upcycling Innovation Challenge,” engaging personnel and trainees in a creative, purpose-driven activity.

The event was led by Ms. Marissa “Mawie” Cruz, Founder and Eco Innovation Architect of Upstyle: Upcycling Waste with Style, who guided participants in turning discarded materials into functional innovations.

The program highlights a friendly upcycling competition and activities aligned with TWC's commitment to skills development, social responsibility, and environmental awareness, with prizes sponsored by HCG Philippines. All outputs will be donated to selected orphanages.
