On December 1, 2025, TESDA, through the TESDA GFPS, successfully conducted the hybrid webinar “Navigating Discrimination and Power in TVET.” The program—held as part of the series of activities for the 18-Day Campaign to End VAWC—opened with welcoming remarks from Katherine Amor A. Zarsadias, Acting Executive Director of NITESD, who set the tone for a day of meaningful dialogue and reflection.

The session proper was led by Ms. Rafaella Potestrades, Co-Executive Director for Programs of Bayi, Inc., who delivered an insightful discussion on “Discrimination and Power Across Spheres of Life.”

One of the event’s highlights was the inspiring presentation of stories from TWC graduates Ms. Charis Frianeza and Ms. Aireen Fe Manalo, who shared their personal journeys, challenges, and achievements within the TVET sector—offering grounded perspectives on empowerment and resilience.

The program concluded with a panel discussion, giving participants the opportunity to further explore the intersections of gender, discrimination, and the institutional roles that help foster safe and inclusive TVET environments.
