TESDA Women's Center Leads Series of Gender Mainstreaming Workshops in TVET

Spearheaded by the TESDA Women’s Center, serving as the Authority's GAD Secretariat, the recently concluded "𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐕𝐄𝐓" are initiatives designed to build and reinforce the capabilities of TESDA’s GAD Focal Point System (GFPS) members nationwide. The workshops were facilitated by Mr. Alvin Cloyd Dakis, a distinguished member of the Philippine Commission on Women's National GAD Resource Pool.

Participants from the TESDA Central Office, TESDA Women’s Center, and Regional Offices actively engaged in a meaningful and transformative learning journey through the following hybrid sessions:

● August 20, 2025 – GAD Refresher Program for the TESDA GFPS

● September 4-5, 2025 – Consultation-Workshop on Gender-Based Analysis in the TVET Sector September 9, 2025 – Gender-Responsive Planning Workshop and Vision Setting

● September 11-12, 2025 – Writeshop on the Formulation of TESDA’s GAD Strategic Plan 2025–2028

These relevant activities have significantly strengthened the knowledge, skills, and shared commitment of GFPS members, ensuring that TESDA remains a proactive and dynamic force in mainstreaming gender and development within the Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector.
