On August 11, 2025, the Office of the Deputy Director General for Policies and Planning and the Chairperson of the TESDA GFPS Executive Committee warmly welcomed representatives from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Gender and Development (GAD) Office for a courtesy visit aimed at strengthening collaboration in promoting gender-responsive programs and initiatives.

The meeting was led by TESDA DDG and the GFPS Chair Rosanna A. Urdaneta, CESO II, together with Katherine Amor A. Zarsadias, Assistant Executive Director for the Planning Office and the Chair of GFPS-TWG, Ms. Mylene H. Somera, TWC Administrator and the Head of the GFPS Secretariat along with key personnel from TWC.

Representing the AFP-GADO was Captain Venus G. Gualdaquever, PN, Chief of the GAD Office, AFP.

This meaningful engagement reaffirmed the shared commitment of TESDA and the AFP to advancing gender equality, empowering their respective personnel and beneficiaries, and fostering a more inclusive, safe and gender-responsive public service.
