In 2010, Kent's aunt, who lived in Manila, noticed her working as a salesperson in Dipolog City and offered her the opportunity to study at TESDA in Manila. As a child born in Manila, Kentleslie was excited to return home and study.

She took FBS NC II at TESDA Women's Center and then after completing her on-the-job training at the Astoria Plaza, she worked as a Food Attendant at Hilmarc's Construction Corporation for nearly 11 years. During this time, she simultaneously pursued a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, which her boss supported as it would give her greater potential as an accountant and CPA.

Kent graduated in 2022 and was hired as an accountant at Ifund Development and Trading, Inc.. Her journey has not been easy, as she had to work from a young age to support her family. However, through determination and the support of her aunt, she has persevered, completing her vocational training, obtaining a college degree, and becoming an accountant.
