My TWC Journey

JP Peñaflor's journey from a fresh college graduate to a successful Head Bartender Mixologist highlights resilience and skill development. After struggling to find a job, he discovered TESDA's training programs online and enrolled in the Ginebra San Miguel Bar Academy at the TESDA Women's Center (TWC).

Graduating in June 2022, JP embraced the art of mixology, which fueled her dream of opening a bar. By October 2022, she became the Head Bartender at Ponte Rialto, where she created cocktail menus, trained junior bartenders, and ensured exceptional customer service. Her skills culminated in winning the Ginebra San Miguel's Cool, Clear, and Versatile (Gin) Mixing Contest in June 2023 with his signature cocktail, 'Il Pavone' (The Peacock).

TESDA's training significantly boosted JP's confidence and professionalism, leading to financial stability for her family. She credits Ms. Shella Bawar and the TWC team for their support, which instilled values of hard work and perseverance.

JP emphasizes the importance of self-confidence, openness to learning, and embracing challenges. Her story is a testament to how determination and the right training can lead to success in any field.
