My TWC Journey

"Empowered women, empowering communities."

"Embrace challenges, for success is not defined by the absence of failure, but by the persistence through it. This mindset transforms setbacks into valuable opportunities for growth, reminding us that each obstacle we encounter is a chance to learn, adapt, and strengthen our resolve."

Erjohn Yancy Escalona, a graduate of the GMAW NC II program in 2022, embarked on a transformative journey in search of better opportunities. Driven by the need for additional skills and knowledge, Erjohn turned to the internet to find training centers that offered free welding training.

After completing the GMAW NC II course, Erjohn secured his first job as a welder/erector at MRT7 Station 6 under BCDC in November 2022. His dedication and skill led him to apply for a position at another construction company, BMB, in February 2023, where he continued to excel in the same role.

In less than a year, Erjohn transitioned from a project-based employee to a regular employee, showcasing his commitment and capability. His hard work paid off, allowing him to purchase a pre-selling condominium unit—an achievement that symbolizes his newfound stability and success.

Throughout his journey, Erjohn learned various welding methods and applications, gaining a deep understanding of the pros and cons of each. He credits much of his success to Ma'am Irene Mendoza, whose support and guidance were invaluable.

Erjohn's story is a testament to the power of perseverance and skill development. He encourages others with his mantra: "Don't be afraid to fail; be afraid not to try." Today, he proudly holds the position of warehouse supervisor, reflecting his remarkable growth and determination.
