My TWC Journey

Ivy Claire P. Mojica, an Online Business owner, graduated from the Bookkeeping NC III program at TESDA Women's Center in 2024. Despite being deaf, Ivy embraced the challenge of learning and did not see her disability as a hindrance.

Encouraged by her mother, who served as her interpreter, Ivy enrolled in the program to expand her knowledge. She chose bookkeeping, finding joy in the learning process even when it was difficult.

Currently, Ivy runs her own small business and is open to future office opportunities. Her training at TWC has been invaluable, equipping her with essential skills in financial management and budgeting, which are crucial for her business. Ivy is proud of her achievements as a deaf programmer and is grateful for the patience and support of her instructors and the TWC staff, who played a significant role in her success.

Through her journey, Ivy has learned important life lessons: that perseverance in the face of challenges is key to achieving one's dreams, and that consistency is crucial for personal growth. She believes that everyone can overcome obstacles if they remain dedicated and hopeful. As she states, "Dreams are only impossible if you let them be." Ivy hopes her story inspires others to pursue their dreams, no matter the difficulties they may face.
