My TWC Journey
"It is never too late to learn. As long as you're willing to grow, there will always be opportunities."
Danica L. Dipad, a 39-year-old full-time mother from Pateros, transformed her passion for baking into a pathway toward growth and opportunity. Before enrolling at the TESDA Women's Center, she devoted herself to caring for her family while managing a small online business. What began as a simple way to earn supplemental income gradually blossomed into a dream she was determined to turn into reality.
As a beneficiary of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), she learned about TESDA's training opportunities through their community leader. Eager to sharpen her skills and gain professional credibility, she enrolled in the Bread and Pastry Production (BPP) NC II STEP Program. Through the training, she refined her baking techniques, mastered precise measurements, strengthened her knowledge of food safety and sanitation, and improved her time management. More importantly, she gained the confidence and self-belief to pursue bigger opportunities for herself and her family.
Today, she continues to manage her online baking business while being a hands-on mother and supportive wife. Her work not only provides financial support for her family but also sets a powerful example of determination and perseverance for her children.
Danica shares this heartfelt realization:
"Being a mom is not a limitationâit is my greatest inspiration. When you truly want something, you will always find a way to make it happen."
Danica's journey is a powerful reminder that women, especially mothers, can pursue their dreams while nurturing their families. With passion, determination, and a commitment to lifelong learning, success is possible one step, and one bake, at a time.
