February 27, 2017 (Monday)
Announcement of National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC) in the Flag Raising Ceremony

Objective:
To inform and engage TWC Employees and Trainees about the NWMC in the Agency’s Flag Raising Ceremony on February 27, 2017 which is the Monday before the start of Women’s Month.

Type of Activity:
  • Playing of the All-Women Cast Lupang Hinirang Music Video (all Mondays of the month of March)
  • An Official/Member of the GFPS Central Office shall give a brief talk about the objectives of the NWMC and highlight GAD within TESDA. (Sample script shall be provided by TWC-National GAD Secretariat)

(Wednesday: International Women’s Day)

Production and Distribution of IEC Materials to all TESDA/TWC Employees

Objective:

  1. To provide access to information regarding policies on women, including programs, projects, and funding outlays that affect them, as provided in Section 26 of the IRR of the MCW.
  2. To produce and distribute information materials featuring the Agency’s Gender and Development (GAD) programs and services that can be accessed by women stakeholders.

Type of Activity:
  • Distribution of freebies (TWC’s NWMC fan) and Briefer on MCW and other GAD-related Laws.
  • Announcement to watch Press Briefing on Estado ni Juana (PCW will release further details on the date and time of airing).
  • Announcement to participate in PCW’s Online Advocacy through social media by enjoining women netizens to share their idea of change and how they see themselves contributing to achieve that change. Participants can be informed that they just have to post a photo of themselves via Facebook using hastag: #BilangBabae and #partnerforchange.

GST for Parents, Guardians and other Relatives of TWC Trainees

Objective:
To provide strategic needs of its trainees by extending GST to their parents, guardians and other relatives to realize the significance of a gender-fair and violence-free family and community.

Type of Activity:
  • Conduct of GST, with lecture-discussions and interactive activities, to be facilitated by 6 Trainers/Facilitators with 30-33 participants per batch to be divided into two (2) GST sessions.
  • An estimated 200 total number of TWC parents/guardians shall participate in the training.

Seminar on: "The Magna Carta of Women and our SRHR" (Sexual Health and Reproductive Health Rights)

Objective:
To support the MCW’s IRR Sec. 29 or the Right to Information and Sec. 20 or Women’s Right to Health, through the conduct of seminar orientation on the Highlights of the Magna Carta of Women (MCW) and age-appropriate sexual health and reproductive education program to its female and male trainees.

Type of Activity:
  • Seminar on the Highlights of MCW and age-appropriate sexual health and reproductive education to be conducted in two (2) batches.
  • The Resource Person shall be assisted by TWC Trainers according to the provided schedule for each qualification.

250 TWC Trainees and 30 TWC Employees (including GAD Secretariat and TWC Trainers)

March 30-31, 2017
(Thursday and Friday)
CHANGE: A Women's Summit

Objective:
To participate in this PCW-initiated program about sharing good practices in implementing the MCW and discussing gaps and challenges in the implementation of specific provisions of the MCW.

Type of Activity:
  • The two-day Summit is by invitation only; and
  • Will feature relevant plenary discussions and parallel sessions to discuss strengthened implementation of the MCW, culminating to a commitment setting and the President’s Address towards the end of day 2.

PCW shall issue announcement providing the guidelines and technical details of the Summit
