The TESDA Women’s Center (TWC) and Roto-Rooter Philippines formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on June 16, 2026, marking the beginning of a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening industry-responsive skills development in the construction sector particularly in the Plumbing Industry.
The ceremonial signing was led by Deputy Director General for Partnerships and Linkages Nelly Nita N. Dillera, Mr. Victor Mark T. Puyat, President of Roto-Rooter Philippines, Ms. Mylene H. Somera, Center Administrator and Mr. Condrado Bergantinos. The signing was witnessed by Ms. Kimberly G. Bautista, Supervising TESD Specialist, Mr. Bonifacio D. Belen, Chief Operating Officer of Roto-Rooter Philippines and the Unit Heads of TWC.
Under the partnership, Roto-Rooter Philippines will collaborate with TWC in providing industry consultation and technical inputs for the development and enhancement of higher-level training programs in the construction sector. The partnership will also support the conduct of Training of Trainers (TOT) programs to strengthen the competencies of trainers and assessors, ensuring that training delivery remains aligned with current industry standards and practices.
Furthermore, the collaboration aims to create employment and career advancement opportunities for TWC graduates by strengthening industry linkages and facilitating pathways to meaningful work in the construction and related industries.
This partnership underscores the shared commitment of TESDA Women’s Center and Roto-Rooter Philippines to producing highly skilled, industry-ready workers and empowering more Filipinos through quality technical vocational education and training.
